Ground wire fastening questions

Hi all,

I've finally installed my new Winegard HD7694P here in New Jersey, and have attached a 12gauge ground wire to the mast clamp on the antenna.

I'm now trying to run the ground wire from the antenna, down the mast, and down the roof line.

Is it necessary to mount the ground wire away from the building itself with some type of raised anchor, or can it be mounted right alongside the edge of the house?

Are there special mounting connectors, like those screw eyes, for doing this?

Thanks again,
Dave

Ground wire can be run on the surface of the building. It can also be run alongside the coax. Recently I've used the Gardner-Bender PCC-1525 coax staple. http://www.gardnerbender.com/pdf/products/Staples.pdf As I recall, I found them at Home Depot.

Dude, you're awesome. Thanks again.

Best,
