antenna sugestion
putting antenna and rotor on 40' tower. My TV Fool report http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...60b5ed3b129a63
Any help appreciated. Jim |
From the TVFR you posted:

Tv Antennas and Reception
It is better to use the exact address. Your exact location can be down in a hole , that would make reception worse or up on a hill that would make reception better then the city as an address.

I gave it my exact address and I could not get image when doing coordinates. I will keep trying on coordinates. Until then thanks and yes I am up the hill to the west about 3/4 the way. Jim

Try starting here: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=90
Enter you ZIP code, then click on the Hybrid or Satellite view button in the upper right corner of the map. Use you mouse to move the pointer to the location of your tower. You can zoom in or out to help locate yourself on the map. At the bottom center of the map, set the antenna height to 40' or what ever actual height you anticipate. Once the pointer is located on the position of your tower, click the Make Radar Plot button at the top right corner of the map. The resulting plot will have a new unique URL 'link' ID that you can post. |
I was able to get coordinates to work so here is the url. http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...60b5679af9c523 Jim

If your goal is to access as many stations as possible, my original suggestion stands. The HD8200U is a very large antenna and will stress all of the consumer grade rotators. If your budget can take the hit, consider the Hy-Gain AR-40 rotator.
If you are not going after 'every possible station', a list of the stations that are important to you would help us understand if a smaller antenna would be appropriate. |
