Broken antenna
I have a Philips SDV4401 that was given to me. the antenna is somewhat weathered and a little fragile. I bought a new antenna and received far less channels so I was putting the Phillips back up and one of the rods broke off on the last row of rods (the longest ones on the back). Will the antenna still work?

Loosing the longest rod at the back will impact reception of the low VHF channels (real channel 2 through 6) the most. I would expect real channels 14 and higher will be nearly unaffected.
It's hard to know the exact effect to expect on real channels 7 through 13 (high VHF). If you post a link to your TV Fool report we may be able to help more. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=4 |
Great, I guess I'm in luck then as the lowest channel I need is 11. I will test it tomorrow and see what I get.
Thanks for the reply. |
