Antenna request for a friend

I posted an antenna request for myself last month (here), and got the antenna up a couple of weeks ago. Most of the time it's fantastic, although I find that local summer thunderstorms sometimes interfere with certain channels. Also, WUSF-DT (PBS) is sometimes beautiful, and sometimes so weak I get no picture at all, regardless of the weather and despite its strong signal.

Anyway, I have a friend who has dropped his cable and currently relies on Netflix and Hulu; after seeing my setup he'd like to get the local channels for football games and such. He'll want both hi-vhf and uhf, and is looking to get the major network affiliates and PBS stations. Don't worry about the direction of WTSP - it's moving to the antenna farm where the other major network transmitters are located by the end of the month.

My friend would prefer to use a small antenna on a j-mount like mine (ANT-751), but his signals are weaker due to his position. Will he be okay with that antenna, or something similar? If not, what does he need? His TVFool report is below. Thanks in advance, and thanks again for the help with my own antenna!

I recommend a ANT751 antenna aimed at about 85 degrees magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. No preamplifier for one or two tv's , for more then two tv's use a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp.

For WUSF , try turning the antenna to the left and right to get better reception.

Thanks for the advice - he's already got a j-mount on his eave, and wanted to use it if possible, so it's good that the ANT-751 is a viable option. I think he's just going to be sending the signal to one TV, so no preamp should be needed.

I figured I might need to tweak the aim on my antenna - I didn't do a very precise job when I put it up.

If the J mount is down low on a eave , move the J mount up Higher on a eave , closer to the top of the roof. Tv antennas like elbow room with little to nothing reducing or blocking reception.
