Antennae Help
 

Great forum and site...very helpful! I am planning my departure from the cable teat and need antennae advice. My plot is :http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...8387586da7a7a0

I am only 1.3-2.5 miles from the channels I care about(first 6 in the list), other parameters is I have three TVs, have cable run to all of them via existing Comcast cable(with splitter outside). Since I am so close would I run the risk on signal convergence (maybe not the correct term)?

A small Antennas Direct DB-2 facing about 65° would receive all the channels in the green section of your report. After disconnecting the cable drop from the grounding block you can connect your antenna to that point, feeding all the outlets in the house. You're right, you have plenty of signal so resist any temptation to use any type of amplifier.

Thank you! In attic or on the side of the house? Mounted on the side of the house would be worried about wind and storms...have a standard type shingles (architectural I believe)...

Try in the attic if the roof is not metallic. Locate the antenna so that it does not face duct work or other metallic obstructions.

If you get acceptable reception, the antenna will last indefinitely. It can be moved outside if needed.

Will do..ordering the DB2 and 50ft of 75Ohm RG-6 cable and I should be set. Will report back findings...
