I recommend a AntennaCraft U4000 aimed at about 248 degree magnetic compass. And a Channel Master CM3414 , 4 way distribution amplifier in the house.

KMYU 9 is a Very Strong transmission at 66.4 NM(dB). The U4000 will receive channel 9 just fine. The Tv stations to the west and south west are widely spaced , the U4000 has a very wide forward half power beam width of 54 degree , this wide beam width will receive the Tv stations channels to the west and south west. If channel 9 were a weak station of about 20 NM(dB) or less I would not recommend the U4000.

The only VHF low band digital station is K02KN 02 and it is a low power Repeater station of PBS. K07CG 07 VHF high band , is a low power Repeater station of NBC and are located to the north east in the opposite direction of the other stations to the west and south west. . A all channel Directional antenna is the Winegard HD7082P , however the HD7082P antenna will need to be on a rotor to aim the antenna at other Tv stations , and this does not work well with more then one Tv. . A antenna that you can try. That will receive Tv transmissions of many different directions is a Winegard MS2000 , when installing the MS2000 it will likley need to be turned to find the best position for reception in different directions and then tighten up the clamps. . Radio Shack's AntennaCraft ColorstarC490 ($100) along with Radio Shack amp. system ($50) mounted 20 feet up and waaaalaaaaaa...... any station within 100 miles any direction!!!!!!!!!

The C490 antenna is 12.5 feet long has low gain figures of , 5 dB VHF low , 8.8 VHF high and 9.3 UHF , and is a low quality antenna. The antenna is a Directional antenna that Will Not receive 100 miles in every direction. As for the no model number radio shack amp.

In my situation, would the AntennaCraft U8000 be a better choice than choosing the AntennaCraft U4000?

The answer is no because the U8000 forward half power beam width is 30 degrees and the U4000 forward half power beam width is 54 degrees. The spread of the groups of Tv stations to the west and south west is 57 degrees , so the U4000 is needed for reception of that wide of a spread.

The groups of Tv stations to the north west and south west have all the networks. The Tv stations of the other directions have the same network programing.

If the house is wood frame with wood or vinyl siding then a indoor antenna will work. If the house has , metal siding , stucko wire , metal foil backed insulation , a metal roof , concrete , bricks , solar panels , then the reception will be reduced or blocked.

Read through the forum and you will see a few examples when JC and I have different opinions... this is not one of those cases though. I'm with JC on this one...

A U4000 will do quite well receiving CH-9 at that power level... in fact, you don't want the additional gain of a high-VHF antenna, you would increase the risk of receiver overload. The wider beam-width of the 4-bay vs. the 8-bay also works for you.

I have not tried every RS amp... but I've yet to find one I would recommend. The Channel Master DA's will take quite a bit of input before overloading and have pretty good noise figures.

Your question is sincere I'm sure, but lacks the information needed to offer a suggestion or recommendation. "... if it were a weak signal..." contradicts the facts. Your TVFR includes a wealth of information about your situation, enough to confidently base an antenna recommendation on. Hypothetical or speculative scenarios are not sound basis. That said, here is a list of 2-69 antennas (incomplete I'm sure). I'm not recommending for or against any of the following.

Channel Master: CM3016, 3018, 3020, 3671 & 3679.
Winegard: HD7000R, HD7010, HD7015, HD7080P, HD7082P, HD7084P, HD7210P & HD8200U.

Nothing in your TVFR would recommend a 2-69 antenna. The few weak signals on 2, 3 & 5 are not going to be received reliably due to noise and interference, even with the largest antenna in the above list.

If it were me I'd go with the Antennacraft HBU-22. It's the best bang for the buck & available locally at Radio Shack.

If you need something less conspicuous, the ANT-751 would be a good choice also.
