 CHNM Vancouver ERP Error

I've noticed that under the list of "current" digital stations in the Vancouver, BC area, that CHNM-DT is has a max ERP of 0.83 kW. In fact, this station was long ago approved for and has been broadcasting with a max ERP of 8.3 kW. Can you correct this?
See also: http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2011/2011-231.htm Item #10 is an approved application for CHNM to continue broadcasting on channel 20 at max ERP of 8,300 kW post-transition. |

Is this going to be fixed. Channel 20 with HAAT of 670 m and ERP of 8.3 kW is CHNM-DT's pre and post transitional allotment.

Yes, it will be fixed. I'll take a look at what the latest IC database snapshot says.

Thanks for the update! The data should be fixed now.
It turns out that the IC database still shows CHNM-DT as an active transmitter with 830 Watts. The 8.3 kW transmitter has a callsign of CHNM-DT(2) and is listed as "AU" (which by default goes into the "pending" category on TV Fool). So to fix things, we removed the CHNM-DT records (830 Watts) and migrated the CHNM-DT(2) record (8.3 kW) into the "current" category. I believe this now reflects what you were expecting. |
