Request for antenna input in Denver
I'm interested in dropping cable and using internet and over-the-air tv only. I live north of Denver, and have a clear line of sight to lookout mountain (211-212°) where many stations broadcast from.
Here's a link to my tvfool report. http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...5747b11cd08c52 I'd like to mount my antenna in the attic (above 2nd story) and receive the big 4 plus PBS. I have to push the signal to 6 tv's, so I'm not sure if a pre-amp will be necessary. I'm looking for answers to the following questions, as well as any other input I should be asking about. What antenna / equipment would I need to meet my requirements? Since the big 4 are at 211°, and PBS is at 204° or 232°, do I need a rotator? Will I need a pre-amp since I wish to push the signal to so many tv's? Thanks in advance for any input. |
TV Antennas and Reception
I suggest a Winegard HD7694P antenna. And a 8 way distribution amplifier , Channel Master CM3418 . And F Type 75 ohm terminators on unused ports of the 8 way distribution amplifier. Direct the antenna at about 202 degree magnetic compass. Yes PBS , KBDI-DT 13 will be received , no problem , a rotor will not be needed for the stations to the south west. Here is how to aim Tv antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html . Read and understand about , REAL Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Virtual Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Analog broadcast tv channels , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695
