reception help in Lafayette, NY 13084
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e6a4e4c1db422b
I have to cut the cord on my cable TV and would like to be able to receive the network channels in my area; ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS. With the antenna I currently have on my home, mounted about 30 ft up I can receive, FOX, CBS and ABC but if I move it to try and get NBC or PBS I lose ABC and CBS. Im speculating I need an additional antenna or a new antenna to receive all of these. That is what I would like to be able to receive here. I am by a wooded area to my north and it is also slightly uphill looking to to the north/northeast. I will post a pic of my current antenna from my ipad shortly. Thanks for any advice! |

Here's a pic of the current antenna I have. I was considering this 8 element bow tie antenna as a replacement.

Your best bet for an antenna would probably be the Clearstream
2Max. It is omni or bi directional and has good gain all around. It looks like your current antenna has been around for a while. You need to check the mount to be certain it is strong and secure. The cable should be replaced if old. Using a good RG6 and keeping the length under 50 feet is important. |
Just to update i ended up buying a HDB8X-NI 8-Bay VHF/UHF HDTV Bowtie Antenna and pointed it pretty much exactly north and I'm getting all 18 channels I can get! Super happy and have cancelled my cable tv with spectrum!
