Ellioctt City, MD Problem with Ch.38 (ABC)

I have recently experienced a problem with intermittent reception problems with C Channel 38 (2.1), Baltimore ABC. My antenna signal and symbol quality fluctuate and I often loose reception. I have been having this problem for three months. I currently have a Winegaurd HD7694P in my attic (app. 25' ) connected to a HD Homerun dual tuner using about 30 feet of coax cable. I have no splitters , pre-amps or anything else attached. The antenna was originally pointed at 62 (Baltimore towers) and then at 220 (DC towers). I can catch the DC ABC station with better signal quality than the Baltimore ABC station. Channel 38 (2.1) reception is sporadic no matter what I tried. I have moved the antenna several times with no change. Any ideas on how to overcome the Baltimore ABC station signal issue?
Thanks

Are there any trees in the signal path?

If you have the problem with CH 38 when your antenna is aimed at 62° magnetic, and you don't have trouble with 40 or 46, I suspect tuner overload even though the antenna is in the attic. Try some attenuation like adding a splitter or two in the coax. A 2-way splitter gives 3.5 dB, a 4-way gives 7 dB attenuation.

Thank you

I added a 2-way splitter and the Ch 38 signal quality appears better with less drop outs
