Help Choose Antenna for Seattle
I would like to ask for help choosing an outdoor antenna (and amplifier if needed) for our place in Wallingford (Seattle, WA).
We live in a dense neighboorhood that has a large house and trees 8-10 feet to the south (direction of most signals). Our viewing would be in the basement. The coaxial cable run will be about 50 feet and I can get it up about 15 on an eave or possibly 20 to 25 feet up on the roof. Currently I have a cheap indoor/outdoor antenna that is on the eave 15 high. It picks up around 12-16 channels, but not ABC, NBC, or PBS which I would like to get. Setup: Projector- Epson 8350 TV Tuner- Mediasonic HW180STB HomeWorx HDTV Digital Converter Box AV system-Denon 2113 http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...f1f0799a008e76 I really appreciate any help you might be able to offer. Thanks!! |
Quite honestly, unless you can get an antenna situated so it has a reasonably clear path towards both Queen Anne Hill and downtown, your reception is going to be at the mercy of your surroundings.
Your requirement is for a modest non-amplified UHF/high-VHF antenna. |
