Help with Antenna selection Il/WI state line

I have a 30 foot tower next to my house and I need help selecting an antenna that will allow me to get both Chicago and Milwaukee stations without a rotor. I was thinking about the affordable 8 bay antennas found on ebay and amazon. The reviews on this site have may me rethink that idea. Is the 8 bay the way to go for my application or would another antenna be a better choice? I am willing to spend the money now to get a high quality antenna. I will need to rent a man lift to install the antenna ao I would like to get my selection correct the first time.

I've got a pretty good idea, which subdivision, you live in, by your coordinates.
I live near where Dave's Cycle used to be and I receive both of those markets and usually, MI and IN.

I'm using a DIY 8 bay, fixed on MKE and a 91XG on a rotor, via an A/B switch.

From the plot, this appears to be an ideal candidate for a bi-directional system, provided the individual signal paths are clean enough.

Thanks to everyone for the replys. There are no trees or other obstructions. If possible I would like to use one antenna without a rotor. I would like to avoid using a more than one antenna if possible.

I'd see several possibilities.

For UHF you might consider a DB-4 with the reflector removed, aimed to about 355 degrees. That might be a sweet spot to get both the signals at 4 degrees and 166 degrees.

You can do the same with the DB-8.

For a top end UHF solution you could use the DB-8e with with panel pointed to 4 degrees and the other to 166 degrees.

For UHF I'd go with either a DB-4 with the reflector removed or, for the ultimate solution, a DB-8 / DB-8e with the reflector removed.

If you want the VHF signals you might consider something like a CS600.

A reflector-less DB4e with a VHF dipole should work fine. You can do the same thing with a C2V that can be picked up at a local retail store and it should also work well.

There's really nothing going on that would suggest that a CS600 would be needed unless the viewer has any interest in the fare broadcast on WOCK-LD or WIWN.

Reflector question. What about putting up a 8DB with half of the reflector removed and moved to the other side of the antenna?

No. Just remove the reflector panels (drill out the rivets). The construction of the DB8 is not conducive to your idea.
