Adding a rotor or not
 

Would it be worthwhile to add a rotor or not?
i will be installing the HD Stacker antenna close to 40 ft high would that plus a rotor be good for maximum coverage? http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...f1f0682aa2afec :confused:

A rotator may give you access to a few more signals. However, if you have more than one TV connected, and there's a conflict as to which aim is desired, someone looses. Also, you need to be sure your tuners support 'Add-Scan' or 'Manual Channel Add', if not, you'll find yourself doing a very tedious full rescan each time you turn the antenna.

My preference would be to try an Antennas Direct DB8E + Antennacraft Y10713 + UHF/VHF combiner + preamp (Antennas Direct 'Juice' or RCA TVPRAMP1R). This combination of antennas provides much more flexibility aiming and has a very good chance of eliminating the need for a rotator.

Yeah i was considering the db8e combined with another antenna.
but from what i have gathered if you are up high and in very windy conditions that antenna would not be the best in that environment my elevation is over 1050 ft. and only 1 person will be using the tv and 2 out of the 4 tvs have the add feature so i think ill give the rotor a shot. thanks for the input :)
