antenna direction

Antenna direction

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Afternoon everyone
I would like sum advise please.
I live in Vero Beach. Florida with a zip code of 32968.
I have a soilid signal xtreme HDB91X antenna and a LMN-200 pre-amp.
I viewed TV-FOOL data sheet and am still at a loss as what is the best direction for my antenna.
It will be installed of roof at around 25 feet.

Is it best pointing SOUTH towards West Palm Beach
or NORTH towards Orlando.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

Yours Sincerely
John

It would be helpful if you could post a link to your TV Fool report. If you need help creating one, please review these guides:

A generic report for your ZIP code suggests that pointing SE toward West Palm Beach would be a good start... It also looks as if you may need to consider adding a High-VHF antenna if you want to have a chance at seeing the NBC and CBS affiliates, WPTV and WPEC.

Mounting outdoors, clear of obstructions is going to be vital if your conditions are similar to the generic report. If I was in a similar situations, I'd be considering a tower or at least a push up type mast... Going for above tree top level.

Given that Florida is very flat, I doubt that a TV Fool report for your exact location will be terribly different than what was shown in the generic ZIP code report... But, I'm still inclined to warn that I may be giving advise based on inaccurate data.

RE. the HDB91X and LNA-200; If you have them in hand, use them. I can't justify recommending that you start over. But because the HDB91X is a UHF only antenna, I would add an Antennacraft Y10713 and a UHF/VHF combiner.

If you don't have the antenna and amplifier in hand, I's suggest the Antennas Direct DB8E + Antennacraft Y10713 + RCA TVPRAMP1R.
