Antenna Selections for Fullerton, CA?

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can recommend what antenna I should use in order to get OTA channels.

I live in Fullerton, CA, where there are some hills. According to TVFool's address lookup, most of the channels are either yellow or red, meaning I should use out door rooftop antenna in order to get these. Here is the map: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...2c159026574f8f

Based on this, I bought RCA ANT1751 antenna from Amazon which gets very good reviews. Instead of mounting it to rooftop directly, I just climb to a ladder and holding it with my hand to see what's the reception look like. Sadly, I only picked up 1 channel (Ch.5-1 KTLA), and the quality is meh. Picture freeze once a minute or so.

Based on this experiment, I am now wondering if my neighborhood just can't get good OTA signals? If I can get a good antenna to overcome this, what level of antennas should I shop for?

Thanks a lot!

Look in the direction of Mt Wilson.

How tall is the hill in front of you and how far away is it?
