Rochester, NY Antenna
I am interested in the best approach for this location, mixed high-VHF/UHF. I am only interested in the 5 green digital LOS channels at 130 degrees.

I'd use something like the RCA ANT-751 or Antennacraft HBU-11.

I'm about the same distance, but on the other side of Rochester, with a similar TVF report. I use a DB4e in the attic (lousy place for an antenna) with a dipole for high-VHF and all stations are 100%. I installed an HBU22 for my inlaws, aimed right into a giant hedge so thick you can't see daylight out the other side (no other location available), and same strong result.
Transmitters are on Pinnacle Hill, where I-490 crosses Monroe Ave. If it's a clear shot, outdoors and without obstruction or heavy foliage, I would think an HBU11, ANT751, or a C2V should be all you need. |
