Twelve ft boom
Hi fellows,
I am new to this and I need your help. I have an outdoor antenna it has a twelve ft boom and is on a 16 ft telescoping mast on the side of the house ( one story) which in concrete. I am connecting the coaxial cable with a gound block and conect the gound block with a # 4 copper wire to the mast at what point?... So my question am I fooly protected? Thanks, Georita junior Member. |
Thanks for asking an important question. If the antenna system ground is not bonded to the electrical service ground, I believe you can significantly improve your antenna grounding system.
As I point out in post #20 of the thread, http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=901, I believe the NEC is correct to require that the coax and mast be connected to the existing electrical system ground... And I prefer to treat each as separate connections until they meet at the electrical service ground. |
