Signal only when dark out

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e1c6ddb67adb00

I get 11 stations, however 28.1 (cbs) and 28.2 (my11) only come in when it is dark outside. I have tried tweaking many many times to no avail. All other stations come in beautiful. I am currently aimed around 354° - 000° range.
My stations are 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 20.1, 20.2, 28.1, 28.2, 44.1, 47.1, 51.1 and 51.2

What make and model antenna are you using?

Were is it mounted?

Is it aimed into trees or structures?

The short answer is you'll probably have to move the antenna and try again.

Repeat as necessary.

HD Stacker with a RCA amp. I am on roof about 30ft. Aiming just over tree tops. Single tv run of 50 ft.

WGFL operates a directional transmitting antenna that is pointed towards the northeast leaving less than half their power in your direction.

You're likely need to either improve your UHF antenna performance, increase the height of the antenna, or both.

Thank you all. I will continue on and let you know of my progress.

ADTech what antenna do you recommend. I never see HD Stacker being mentioned as a choice.

ADTech 18-Jul-2014 12:14 PM

The seller of that antenna refuses to supply any technical specifications for his antennas, so knowledgeable persons have no basis for any recommendation and are skeptical about its design and capabilities.

Have you move the antenna yet? Your plot data suggests that signal should be relatively easy to capture but the antenna is simply in a "dead spot" for it.

ADTech. When I aim right at it I don't get it. I am now aimed at about 5° and it goes in and out. Mostly at night seems best. When you say the signal goes NE should I cheat that way with my aim.

ADTech 19-Jul-2014 5:22 PM

Okay, one more time..., just to be explicit.

You need to PHYSICALLY move the antenna, not just rotate it. Up, down, left, right, forward, backward, whatever. It WILL take patience and experimentation.
