Antenna recommendation for SF east bay

Hi. I am looking for antenna recommendation for the East Bay San Francisco area. I would appreciate any assistance. My TVfool report is:

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e1c6e92dca2841

I am planning to mount the antenna at the end gable of the roof line, getting it above the rooftop and will be 25 feet off the ground, which I need because there are a lot of surrounding hills. There will be 50 feet of RG6 cable run from the antenna to inside the house to the tv, This cable will have at least one splice in it as it is being added to from previous position..

Install there will be only one tv using the antenna, but in the future we may decide to add one more.

Thank you for your help.

Hoping to get the more difficult channels to the south west (CBS 5.1, Fox 2.1, NBC 11.1) as well as the ones to the Northeast. I also like 36.1 ind from the southeast. I know a big wish list, but I do get lots of the northeast channels with indoor antenna so I should get those with an outdoor one but pointed the other direction,

I am looking for advice on an antenna type. I am considering a DB8e pointed to the Southwest and to the Northeast. Or possibly a HBU33 pointed just to the Southwest, to get the more difficult channels.

Also do you think a preamp would help?

Any help would be appreciated.

Why the HD1800 over the HD1850? Same boom length. You'd think that the more expensive offering is better. Or is the HD1850 just an opportunity to spend more money over the HD1800?

I asked myself the same question after reading the recommendation. After looking at the specs for both antennas, I saw a very small difference, and then ordered the HD1800.

Should be putting it up this weekend.
