Which indoor antenna in Rancho Penasquitos, San Diego, California

Hello,

I am in Rancho Penasquitos area of San Diego California. Here is my tvfool signal report:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e1c69c27991aab

Has anybody successfully used an indoor antenna to receive the local ota channels?
Especially for receiving KPBS, which my daughter watches.

I'll appreciate any feedback and suggestions.

Thank you

An indoor antenna is marginal at best in the situation depicted in your TV Fool report.

If I was in your situation, I'd use an Antennacraft Y5713 pointed at 218° (compass) and an Antennas Direct DB8E facing 136°. The two antennas can be combined into a common down lead by an Antennas Direct UHF/VHF combiner.

If there were more than one TV to connect, I'd place a Channel Master CM3410 between the combiner and splitter.

I'd mount outside, clear of obstructions such as trees or structures.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I live in a ranch style rental so I may not be able to put up an outdoor antenna.

I'd work with the landlord... They may or may not be aware of the FCC OTARD, http://www.fcc.gov/guides/over-air-r...n-devices-rule.

Though there are some limits, the FCC protects your right to install and use an antenna to receive over the air television signals.

Can Test reception with a smaller antenna.

Above the peak of the roof in such a manner that reception is not , obstructed , impeded , blocked , to the , South East , South West , North East , North West.

Install a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

HBU11K antenna , aimed at about 136 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a cell phone compass.

-------------------

A antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required for 1 or 2 Tv's connected.

-------------------

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a 2 way splitter.
