PCT-MA2-8N - Amplifier Splitter Signal Booster with Passive Return

I bought one of these 3 years ago to use with my cable/phone/internet and never even hooked it up:

I plan on eventually splitting my OTA signal to 4, 5 or 6 TVs. Does anyone have any experience with this (or similar model) with OTA as a distribution amp? Thoughts on how well it will work or not work?

Thanks,

John

It's fine for a distribution amplifier.

Ditto ADTech...

I'm using the 8-port version as well as the single port version and have had great performance... No overloading and the noise spec of < 3dB NM is actually plausible.

They work very well in an OTA TV distribution system.

Good to know. Thanks guys!

QQ guys...

Is it absolutely necessary to terminate unused ports on this amp?

You may 'get away with it'. However, Home Depot stocks the terminating caps and they're a relatively low cost item.

If you're having trouble with reception reliability, it's a detail that should not be overlooked.
