PCT-MA2-8N - Amplifier Splitter Signal Booster with Passive Return
I bought one of these 3 years ago to use with my cable/phone/internet and never even hooked it up:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I plan on eventually splitting my OTA signal to 4, 5 or 6 TVs. Does anyone have any experience with this (or similar model) with OTA as a distribution amp? Thoughts on how well it will work or not work? Thanks, John |
It's fine for a distribution amplifier.

Ditto ADTech...
I'm using the 8-port version as well as the single port version and have had great performance... No overloading and the noise spec of < 3dB NM is actually plausible. They work very well in an OTA TV distribution system. |
Good to know. Thanks guys!

QQ guys...
Is it absolutely necessary to terminate unused ports on this amp? John |
You may 'get away with it'. However, Home Depot stocks the terminating caps and they're a relatively low cost item.
If you're having trouble with reception reliability, it's a detail that should not be overlooked. |
