Snow on antenna reducing signal strength

Hi,
It has been snowing a lot and it's really cold in my area.I'm new this OTA thing and I'm wondering if the snow and also some ice that is collecting on my outdoor antenna could be responsible for a loss in signal strength.

The snow and ice on the antenna does account for some attenuation, weather and atmospheric conditions between the transmitter and your antenna is also a factor.
