Antenna advice
Hello, I need some suggestions for antennas. ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS have a tower on Wopsy Mt above Altoona, so these channels I should be able to receive with a good antenna. What kind of antenna do you all think I would need for PBS stations (WPSU) North of me? Thanks

Those are some tough reception conditions. :(
'Go big or go home' applies in this case. You'll need to mount a large UHF antenna above or clear of trees and nearby buildings. I would consider the Antennas Direct 91XG or DB8e or perhaps the Winegard HD9095P. An Antennas Direct PA-18 preamp would also be needed. Then, you'll need to consider a rotator. |

Thanks for the help! I knew this would be a tough job to receive these channels. Glad I have the internet for Netflix and Amazon Prime on the Roku box. This will save me a hundred dollars a month! :) Any suggestions on a stand alone DVR?

How high can I go with my antenna, without using guy wires? I plan on installing some sort of pole in the ground like a 16' 4x4, but not sure what kind of mast or how far above the pole I can go.
