I'm impressed with the community support provided here. Thanks in advance for extending it to me.

My signal analysis report has been helpful. All of the channels that I want are located at 77 degrees. With an old 2 bay bowtie antenna mounted on a short mast at 16ft AG I've been able to pull in all but CBS (22). NBC (14) is a little weak, but watchable.

I'm looking to replace the antenna with the goal of improving 14 and getting 22, but rather than make an educated guess I figured I would see what the experts think.

The CBS station is a VHF channel 13 operation. You probably need a medium range high-VHF/UHF combo instead of a 2-bay UHF design.

WCFE-DT channel 38 , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WCFE-DT , is strong signal strength and will be received through the back of the CM4228HD antenna.

When the antenna is aimed at about 92 degree magnetic compass direction.

W46ED-D 46 and W25BT-D 25 , Repeater transmitters , are the same as WCFE-DT 38.

Choice 2 is two antennas. It will work better on UHF, but cost more and be more complicated:
UHF 91XG
VHF Y10-7-13
Combine them using a UVSJ

Perhaps I'm not reading this right, but I see WCAX-DT (CBS) as channel 22. Note that I do receive channel 14-WPTZ-DT (NBC) somewhat, but do not receive 13-WVNY-DT (ABC) at all.

Based on my understanding, I should I expect the CM4228HD to perform significantly better for channel 13 than the Eagle Aspen EASDTV2BUHF 2 bay, but what about 22 and 14?

Oops, you're right. I got the "22"s mixed up. Sorry about that detail. The recommendation remains the same. I'd prefer to go with a more conventional recommendation rather than hoping for out of design-band reception. Tower Guy's recommendations are spot-on.

As per the , http://www.channelmasterstore.com , website shows that the CM4228HD receives the UHF band channels 14 thru 51 and VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

..and it has minimal specifications regarding such performance.

Both are good options, I lean toward option 2... It makes the most of your chances at seeing the Fox affiliate WFFF. The path profile of WFFF makes me wonder if mounting a bit higher would change your signal conditions significantly.

A TV Fool report based on 25' or 30' would be interesting to look at.

WFFF actually comes in clearly now. It's one of the stronger channels. I should have been explicit. With the 2 bay I get:
WCFE-DT (Strong)
WFFF-DT (Medium)
WETK-DT (Medium)
WPTZ-DT (Weak, Breaks up depending on weather)

I don't get:
WCAX-DT
WVNY-DT

I have to say that the pattern doesn't make much sense to me.

I ordered the CM4228HD before people started lining up behind Tower Guy. I can try it out to see how it does, but is it realistic to think it will be sufficiently better on Channel 22 vs. my cheap 2 bay?

Going up to 30' boosts the NM(dB) values by about 4 - I don't know if that is significant. Selling my wife on a taller mast may be tough.
