I have an Antennacraft C290 which works great.

They live about 15 miles from me, should I get the same one or another antenna for their location.

The C290 and similar products from other vendors should perform well for them. (Provided the antenna is mounted clear of obstructions such as trees and buildings.)

Should work Ok.

As you discovered with your reception situation , Tv antennas receive the best , with little to no obstructions in the directions of reception.
