Rear reflector on UHF antenna
 

Anyone with experience in UHF antennae please comment.
I am about to conduct a test using a combo UHF/ VHF Yagi antenna. If I remove the angled rear reflector on the UHF end, will this increase the UHF rearward gain? Will this come at the expense of forward gain?
(I am thinking this may be a way to get signals 180 degrees opposed.)

Yes removing the angled , < , UHF reflector will allow more reception from other directions to be received by the antenna , and yes removing the reflectors will reduce forward gain.

If the Tv transmissions are strong in the forward direction , thats Ok.

All experimental ways to get reception , so is Ok.

The angled reflectors are easy to put back on with some bolts and nuts.

If you haven't already, you can also experiment with aiming the antenna at the weaker signal source(s). In some cases, you'll be able to improve the weak signal reception while still maintaining adequate reception of the stronger signals.
