Newbie needs advice
 

Iv'e been in my home for about a month now and tired of my 20$ antenna flickering or dropping channels.

Here are my analysis results

I am looking at the

Antennas Direct C2-V-CJM ClearStream 2-V Long Range UHF/VHF Indoor/Outdoor DTV

I will be mounting it in my attic, using the pre existing coaxial cable left from the satellite. I think I have to replace the splitters? if thats the right word. I will be sending the signal to 3 rooms (including my basement) is there anything that I am missing?

Will this set up work for my situation? Thanks

How do I know where to point my antenna? find magnetic degrees etc?

Attics Are Not a reception friendly environment and Never Will be a reception friendly environment.

Yes good Tv reception can happen in the attic , however that does not mean that the attic is a reception friendly environment.

The Digital Tv transmissions are strong signal strength at your location.

Yes you can start with the Clear Stream 2 Complete UHF/VHF antenna in the attic.

Aim the CS2V at About 200 degree magnetic compass direction.

As always , the starting aim direction is --> the starting aim direction.

The antenna can be adjusted , turned , located , for best reception.

The Digital Current Plus Pending Applications Included Tv stations/channels in the Green and Yellow reception zone of the tvfool radar report plot and channel list should be received.

If there are issues with reception of some channels that are not resolvable with antenna adjustments in the attic , then move the CS2V antenna to above the roof installed/mounted in such a manner that the roof or house is not blocking reception to the , south , north west , east north east.

A preamplifier is not required.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a common simple 3 way splitter.

As always trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own house.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
