Help setting up 2 antenna's / what do i need to do ?
[B]Hello all Daryl here ... i'm wanting to dump my dish / Direct TV and there bill mill with mostly repeat programs & useless channels i do not / can not watch
Bare with me ... i've been on sat TV & cable TV for years and an out of touch with anntena TV... but since all broadcast has gone digital i want to go to that sourse for my TV.... I've got a 6 " RCA boom type antenna temp'd on the roof of the house that gets all local Buffalo channels.. but i want to get more channels & Canadian TV programs.. / i'm a transplanted Canuck live'n in the USA Anyway i was thinking of putting a antenna up on my new garage it;s 23 ft high roof .. was thinking a Stacker antenna there & my RCA 6 ft boom on the roof of the house and splice'n them together for the best channel coverage in my area... USA & Canada TV..... thinking of pointing staker N/S ish and RCA E/W ish ... grab'n Bufflao channels & all the Canadian & American channels i can Can go buy a 2 way spliter & join the 2 antenna['s together and feed that to my TV's and then scan TV 's for channels.... i'm not into a rotor system and thought this would be the best way to go about getting all the channels i can Do i need a special splitter to do this?.... what the best one to buy? Can i ground both antenna's with copper wire on R6 cable ?/B] Here''s my TV Fool scan of stations i may get..... Thanks in advance for any help & suggestions Regards Daryl http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...cc49939564ed0d |
----> As Always <----
"Splice'n" antennas pointed in different directions is , bad , Bad and BAD. Combining antennas pointed in different directions with a reversed splitter -> Never Works <- , the 2 antennas Will Cross Talk and -> This Will be Bad for Reception <-. Period. _______________________________________________ The 6 foot RCA antenna is what model number?? So that ideas ... busted My old RCA anntena is in fair shape.... so i was go'n to put a Stacker anntena on my garage roof with tripod mount over all height would be prox 30 ft high with no buildings or trees a clear path for reception. So it's best to aim anntena to get the most channels & leave it that way not into using a rotor. Regards Daryl |

For the money I'm saving over pay TV, I don't mind getting up once in a while to flick the A/B switch and coax is cheap.
