Antenna selection assistance

Hello,
Link: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...3cf42909f20746

My quest began by considering a DIY project for a 4 bay antenna using copper wire and PVC. Also looked into the Gray Hoverman DIY antenna. I live where cable will never be and would like to avoid expense of Directv.
If the above 2 DIY projects don't make sense, then what antenna(s) would make my wife happy? Would I also need an amplifier? Recommend one? I intend to mount on top of 2 story home on mast/rotor. Thanks in advance:)

You'll need the 'big guns'. A 91XG, a Y10713 and a CM7777.

There is a lot of terrain working against you.

At the 25 foot antenna height , the 91XG pointed at 147 degree magnetic compass will get 19 FOX , 18 Independent , 30 PBS , 40 NBC . And the Y10713 pointed at 173 magnetic compass will get 08 CBS , 10 ABC. The CM7777 amplifies and combines the UHF antenna and VHF antenna on to one coax down lead. . Please run the tvfool radar report 2 more times , one at 40 feet and one at 60 feet antenna heights. See if can get more stations. . To get some increase of useable signal strength the antennas will need to go to 60 feet and higher. With higher being better and that will be dollars. I say receive the channels to the south east with the antennas at 25 or 30 feet and be happy with that part of your Tv reception.
