Antenna and Booster sugestions

I would like to get some input on trying to set up a system to pick up OTA. I need some input on antenna, booster, converter box etc. I will be setting up 4 TV's, all are old analog style.

Here is the link to our signal map:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...99003648c85e6b

We do have trees around and a few hills to peek over. Looks like the signal strengths are all weak. I am mainly interested in the channels at approx 106 degrees.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Tv Reception.

Tv transmission reception is weak signal strength.

So as to see if signal strength will improve with the antenna higher.

Make 2 more tvfool radar plot reports.

40 and 60 feet.

Tv Reception.

Based on the 25 foot report.

This will get reliable reception of.

WCIQ Real channel 7 , virtual number (7.1 ) PBS

WPXA-DT Real channel 51 , virtual number (14.1) ION Tv

WSB-TV Real channel 14 , virtual number ( ) ABC and Me-TV

Above the roof install a antennas direct DB4e aimed at about 50 degree magnetic compass reading.

Above the roof install a Winegard YA1713 antenna aimed at about 220 degree magnetic compass reading.

Combine the two antennas with a UVSJ = UHF/VHF antennas Separator/Joiner , type the letters , uvsj , in the http://www.solidsignal.com , search box.

Connect a Winegard AP8275 preamp to the UVSJ.

The output of the AP8275 preamplifier will go to 1 Tv with no splitter.

If more then 1 Tv is connected the use a ,

HFS-2D , 2 way splitter for 2 Tv's.

HFS-3D , 3 way splitter for 3 Tv's.

HFS-4D , 4 way splitter for 4 Tv's connected.

The HFS splitters pas power from the power supply/power injector in the house to the actual preamplifier that is mounted close to the antenna.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to but antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com , http://www.amazon.com.

I am in a valley or "bowl". 20 years ago we had a decent Channelmaster antenna/booster and could get the main network channels although not clear all the time. 2 and 5 were decent 11 was always a little snowy. I just wanted to see if there is any difference in the new DTV signals and equipment. Also tired of the satellite co prices continuing to climb.

I adjusted my position using my actual coordinates. The address was general. I am right on the state line (running north/south) so the channels in 0-180 degrees are the local channels that I prefer, mainly 104-112 degrees.

25ft Antenna HT: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...9900ef4023057c

40ft Antenna HT: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...990068f2369889

60ft Antenna HT: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...990068c79eabe2

If I have to go up that high, what are the most economical mast and/or tower options available.

There are different ways to set up antennas for reception.

This First way the DB4e and YA1713 antennas will not be used.

Install a Winegard HD7698P antenna with Winegard AP8275 preamp mounted on a Channel Master CM9521A antenna rotator.

At no less then 60 feet antenna height.

The HD7698P will rotate to receive the Tv stations/channels in the directions of ,

50 degrees , north east.

108 degrees , south east.

220 degrees , south west.

A advantage of using a rotator is the antenna aim can be adjusted to get the best reception of tuff to receive Tv station.

A disadvantage of a rotator is not channel surfing friendly , must wait for antenna to rotate and not every one will agree on the direction the antenna is aimed.

Tv Reception.

The second way uses No rotator.

The DB4e and YA1713 antennas are combined/connected as before on to one coax that goes out to the Tv location/s.

And can be at the 25 feet antenna height.

______________________________________________________

Also a Winegard HD9095P with a Winegard AP8275 preamp is mounted at the 60 feet antenna height for reception of the Tv stations/channels at about 108 degree magnetic compass direction.

This antenna system is not connected to the other antenna system.

This system also goes out to the Tv location/s.

___________________________________________________

The 2 Separate systems are separate all the way to the Tv location/s.

And are connected to the Tv/s with a Remote control A/B antenna switch at each Tv location/s.

Remote control A/B antenna switch is , channel surfing friendly , push the button on the hand held remote control . change antenna systems and keep on channel surfing.

Here are some ways to get the antenna 60 feet above ground.

Light weight , Aluminum , No guy wire , Lay over tower , Do all antenna installation and adjustments standing on the ground.

http://www.palcoelectronics.compe300.aspx

http://www.3starinc.com , has towers and push up poles.

Search on the internet for used towers and push up poles.

Yes I know what you will say , this all adds up to some , $ change.
