Thanks in advance

Tv Reception

ALL the receivable channels are to the north / north west (Pending* applications included). All of the channels are VERY STRONG , DO NOT use an Antenna that has Any Type or Kind of Amplifier , Zip , Zero and Zilch . . http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=233 , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695 , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html , Is the apartment on ground floor or what upper floors ? Is the building wrapped with any type or kind of metal such as metal siding or stucko with stucko Wire ? Metal siding and stucko Wire block Tv signals. Is there a patio or balcony or windows on the north side of your apartment ? The fewer the obstructions between the receiving antennas and the transmitting antennas the better. . Rescan from time to time because broadcast tv channels are going off the air and others are going on the air and digital sub channels are added as time goes along. . Read and watch the video on double rescanning at http://www.dtv.gov . There are no feel good useless comments , just the Facts. The facts will help you feel better , not useless comments that I see other places on the net.

1. the apartment is on the third floor
2. There's no metal on the outside of the building(from what I can see)
3. We have a balcony that points east.(I'm unsure of putting an antenna outside since I'm unsure as to how to get the cable from the antenna to the tv inside)

Thanks for the links and the video. I will take a look at them

Is the 3rd floor the top floor ? Does the apartment building length ways north and south ? Is the apartment on the north end of the building ? If yeses then so much the better for you. I am thinking that the indoor tv antenna will work just fine inside of the apartment. However if a tv antenna needs to go outside then , http://www.amazon.com/Parts-Express-.../dp/B0002KR74A . If you do use this coupler , do not Slam the door or window on the coupler - be nice to it. As you go through life think about where the tv transmitters are at and where the tv receive antenna is at. The less obstructions the better.
