Just Moved and Need an Antenna Recommendation
 

I recently asked for some help while living in Spring Hill, TN and have since moved about 18 miles north closer to Nashville.

We are now in a two-story townhouse where my only option is to locate the antenna in our attic. I currently have a Terk HDTVo. It pulled in 14-16 channels at our old place on a 15 ft pole outside. So far I have tested with this same antenna indoors (on top of some boxes next to our TV) and amazingly it detected 14 channels of which 7-8 are watchable. However I've noticed I seem to need to move the antenna a bit when switching for instance between channels 8 and 28 (PBS and ION).

Anyway, any recommendations for something that would work in my attic would be great. Unless I can get by with a multi-directional it appears I may need a rotator setup.

Tracy, Nashville has a low-band VHF digital station: WTVF, which is the local CBS affiliate, and you have several other VHF digital stations, as well. The HDTVo is a middling-good UHF performer, but is likely inadequate for your VHF reception. Fortunately for you, all the Nashville stations lie in the same direction, due north of you, so you won't need a rotator, just a change of antenna, and perhaps a preamplifier if you plan to run two or more TV sets.

Assuming that you have enough space, I would suggest using a Winegard HD-7082P or a Channel Master Crossfire 3679. Both antennas have excellent VHF capability, and enough UHF reception that you should see all of the major Nashville stations well. If you like, add a Winegard HDP-269 preamplifier, which will be especially useful if you plan to run multiple TV sets from the antenna.
