bad area

I'm in a rural area for reception I think. There is a hill that blocks the wireless from town for internet. My location Cobden Ontario Canada
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...2df96f4c073aa8 so I'm wondering what kind of digital antenna I can buy. I have a satalite dish on top of the roof now so I'm guessing it's about 14 feet. Anyone help me? I think I can buy them at the Source.

Above The Roof , install a Winegard HD7084P antenna with a Winegard AP8700 preamp aimed at about 114 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Buy the HFS splitters at , http://www.hollandelectronics.com , or , http://www.solidsignal.com.

This is a Big antenna , do not try and use the small satellite dish mount for the antenna.

Some common roof top antenna mounts are , Tripod antenna mount , Eave antenna mount , Chimney antenna mount.

Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.saveandreplay.com , http://www.trentondistributors.com , http://www.canadapost.ca/shopper , http://www.amazon.ca , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to install the antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of any type or kind of obstructions in the directions of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

This is great. Thank you so much. I am going to look up those channels first. I am glad to see you posted French on there. That is one thing Bell didn't mention when I bought the dish.

I am curious , what did the WiFi internet people say about raising the WiFi antenna height to receive WiFi internet??
What is the name of the WiFi internet company??

By making the statement , "This is one thing that Bell did not mention when I bought the dish".
What does the statement mean??

If you will like to receive more Free Tv channels , here is a way.
FTA= Free To Air satellite Tv. All of the USA , PBS channels are on FTA and there are other channels/programing to receive.
Here is a web site to get started to learn more.
http://www.ftalist.com.
http://www.saveandreplay.com , sells FTA receivers and dishes.

I remember Bell telling me I would have 125 cannels or more but they didn't mention that many of those would be French or the same show doubled up so I actually get far less than 125. Also many channels are the samething repeated again and again. I am so sick of commercials and repeats I have decided to end my dish reception.
People have told me if you can see the water tower from home you can get internet. I really don't know what that means but I cannot get cable tv or internet or DSL here. I do have cell phone reception so I use a stick.
Free channels are very interesting and I think this would work for me.

They say if you can see the water tower you can get internet because that is most likely where the internet antenna is , on top of the water tower.

The question is , can you see the water tower??

What did the wireless internet people say about reception at your location??

What about going higher up with a internet antenna to get wireless internet??

What is the name of the wireless internet company??

No I cannot see the water tower and I really don't know what they mean by that because cell phone here is good.
. I think the wireless rural internet would be Explornet. I can use wireless or Rogers or Bell internet stick without a long contract but it is little bit expensive such as last month cost me $70.
Everyone has a satalite dish here for tv but I want to try the free digital instead and have no contracts.

The cell phone has More transmitting towers so there is More cell phone coverage.

The wireless internet is most likely transmitting from one location , from atop the water tower , so not as much coverage.

What did the wireless internet company say about reception at your location and what did they say about installing a wireless internet antenna up higher so the wireless internet antenna can 'see' the top of the water tower??
