Wanting to cut the cord

Installation would be in the attic at ~20-25ft. Roofing material is plywood and regular asphalt shingles, insulation is blown in so antenna would not have to point through that. House is vinyl sided, but antenna would be pointed through the roof.
Would like the antenna to feed 3 tvs through ~75ft of coax.
Was looking at the RCA ANT751R (because I can get that locally) or a DB4e which I would have to purchase online. Would these be decent options? I did do an experiment and stuck a twistie tie in the rf jack in an upstairs bedroom tv and pulled in all the green channels with about 7 channels working reliably.

Attics Are Not a reception friendly environment and Never Will Be a reception friendly environment.

Install the ANT751 , VHF channels 7 thru 13 , UHF channels 14 thru 51 antenna in the attic aimed at about 48 degree magnetic compass direction.

The ANT751 has some forward antenna signal gain and also receives at the front angles , back angles , back of the antenna.

The ANT751 should also receive KTWU UHF Digital channel 36 PBS that will be at a back angle to the ANT751 antenna.

The DB4e with its reflector screen will most likely in combination with being in the attic , block reception of KTWU , and the DB4e is a UHF channels 14 thru 51 design antenna.

And also I am recommending the ANT751 because the Digital Tv stations/channels to the , north west are currently in the UHF channels 14 thru 51.

And.

That is likely to change in the near future , as the UHF channel band at your area becomes more crowded.

Then Digital Tv stations will go to the VHF channel band 7 thru 13.

Thank you for the info, teleview. Would it make any change in your recommendation if the first 10 channels in my report were the top priority?

If there are issues with reception of the first 10 Digital Tv stations with the ANT751 in the attic.

Then adjust the aim and location of the ANT751 in the attic.

Most Digital Tv's have a Signal Strength Meter and some Digital Tv's also have a Signal Quality Meter.

If the reception issues , signals bouncing around in the attic (multipath) and signal drop outs , are not resolvable with the ANT751 in the attic then move the ANT751 to above the Peak of the roof.
