Is this a , house , condo , apt. , mobile home , motor home , or etc.?? The default antenna height at tvfool radar map is 10 feet. About high up will the antenna be?? How many tv's are/will be connected??

Thank you for the reply. Two story house with a finished room over the garage and a attic access. Outside is brick in the front with vinyl siding on the other walls. Asphalt shingles on roof. Currently using RCA rabbit ears and can pick up around 15 channels on my main TV. I have cable hookups in 5 rooms with a cable box outside. Would like to install something in the attic if possible. Area is very flat as its eastern NC.

For reception of , NBC , METV , CBS , CW , ABC , This Tv , Fox , MyNetwork , PBS , and many more Tv stations/channels and digital sub channels. Install a AntennaCraft U8000 antenna above the roof , aimed at about 334 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. The U8000 will need to be made into a antenna that will receive tv transmissions at the front and back of the antenna , this is easy to do , drill out the rivets that hold the flat metal clips that hold the reflector rods , remove the reflector rods , Now the U8000 >< shaped metal reception elements will receive 2 directions , the front and back of the antenna. For 4 tv's connected , use a Channel Master CM3414 - 4 way distribution amplifier. For 5 to 8 tv's connected use a CM3418 distribution amplifier. Will this setup work if I run in through my cable box that is outside my house?

The coax 'cable' wires can be used to get the tv antennas signals from point A to point B , ( from the box to the rooms in the house ). However the antenna Can Not be connected to Any Type or Kind of Active cable tv service. Not active cable tv service , Not active cable phone service , Not active cable internet service , Or any other type or kind of active cable delivered service. If a coax cable is needed for , as a example , cable internet service. Then a coax cable will need to be installed to get the antenna signal from point A to point B. If as an example , there is no type or kind of cable service being delivered to the house. Then the coax cable that delivers cable service to the house can be disconnected from the coax wires of the house and the antenna can be connected to any or all of the coax wires of the house.

Cable TV is designed as a closed system. This means that the signals inside the shielded cable can and do use frequencies assigned to aircraft navigation and communications services as well as other life safety services and licensed point to point and mobile systems.

If you connect an antenna to the cable TV system, you will very likely cause harmful interference to over-the-air radio services. Even if the only service delivered to your home is internet, you need to be certain you are not connecting active cable system signals to your antenna.

However, you can disconnect the coax cable from the cable TV network and use the coax to distribute your antennas signal to your TV(s).

Beyond , "turned off to the rest of the house" , The coax wires that go through out the house and to the 'box' , Must be disconnected from the cable service. You and others reading this might think , why does Electron use the wording that Electron does?? . The reason is that with a long period of time I have learned that people are very creative at doing it the Non Correct Way.

So in other words since I'm only getting Internet from my cable company which is coming in through the cable box, I would not be able to hook a antenna to that cable box?

Yes as in Yes you can use the coax wires that go to what you call the 'cable box' on the house. The coax wires that you use to connect to the tv antenna must be disconnected from the cable service.
