What's this antenna in yellow?
 

Anyone know that this antenna is yellow is called? And what's its spec and gain?:confused:

That's a Televes - from Italy. You'll find better value with the antennas we normally recommend.

Heheh... Got a local "professional" installer here in Seattle-area that wants to install and sell me it for $300. He claims it's his best "fringe high gain." d'oh!

In the photo, I couldn't help but notice that the panel antenna is blocking the DAT-75.

Someone had to spend a bunch of money... but didn't know enough about what they bought to give the antenna a clear shot.

Is that price, installed and guarantied to provide the results you specify, or YMB? If so, jump on it. If it's just the antenna dropped on your doorstep,

I do believe it's for the antenna and installation (I think he/his company) wants to just do an attic install.. I could find his website if you want (or just search for Seattle installer and their price is like $295)...

And I think his experience or what he would do is to get you the local Seattle channels (say you live in Mount Vernon or Bellingham) and wanted Seattle stations. I doubt/sense that he would not want to get Vancouver stations... so I doubt there's any guarantee for the Vancouver stations.. he might do a guarantee to get Seattle (I think he does a site survey at your location using RF signal meter, etc)...

Still the other link says it's hard to maintain and aim and it's good gain is for the upper UHF channels....

How do you read that diagram/chart? I see that if the antenna is pointed directly at 0 degrees, look at the channel line and follow it to directly at 0 degrees. But I dont see it tell me the dB value. Should it show something like +10 dB to indicate gain? Why do I see the other -dB? Is that loss?
