Antenna Reception

I just purchased a WINEGARD Model FV-HD30 Free Vision Antenna.
I did assemble the antenna according to instruction leaflet received. I tried to connect to the different post behind my DSL cable box and turn my antenna to the suggested position which is Yellow(southeast diectionally but could not acquire any signal. It seemed so easy when I was readin in the internet all about this antenna.
Please help on how to install to acquire signal, There are two cables attached to the box= one to the TV Out and the other to satellite attached to a double coupler to be one and likewise connected to my cable line coming from the wall.
Where should I connect the cox cable from the antenna = is it to the cable box TV Out or Satellite prong. Just want to be sure before I adjust the antenna's direction. I have tried to attach to every outlet from the cable box, then move the antenna to different directions = no avail. Very desperate for help to get this antenna working

Hello and welcome!

Sorry, but we'll need to better understand your situation before we can help. It would be of great help to us if you could provide the following:

1) A link to a tvfool signal analysis for your exact location. An explanation of how to use the tool can be found here. We need the link to your report (should look something like "http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"). This will tell us how strong your local TV signal are and whether or not the FV-HD30 is an appropriate antenna for your situation.

2) Are you currently subscribing to cable, satellite, U-verse, FIOS, or some other form of pay TV? Your initial post mentioned DSL, cable, and satellite, so it wasn't clear what other services you already have. If you can identify the make/model of any cable, satellite, DVR, or other devices currently hooked up to your system, that would also help.

3) Tell us what is it that you wish to do. Are you trying to add OTA television to your existing pay TV service? Do you want to switch exclusively to OTA TV?

Best regards,
Andy
