Tv Antennas and Reception
How High is the Tower?????? You must have a house because you say you have a tower. And you say the whole lot broke , does that mean that the tower is broke?? If you have a house is the house a 1 or 2 story house. Please repost a new radar plot with a antenna height at the top of the tower. How Many Tv's Will be Connected????

Tv Antennas and Reception
Here is some reading. http://www.tvtechnology.com/article/105462 , http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum . . Yes some Canada Tv stations are transmitting Digital NOW. The transition is happening NOW. The transition will not happen all at once on one day. The transition is happening as time goes along.

I recommend consulting with the fine folks over at digitalhome.ca. There will be a receptions results thread for your area where you can read up on what others have done and pose your question. They work with tvfool reports.
The key thing is, that site keeps the closest tabls on your country's switch to digital TV broadcasting. |

Tv Antennas and Reception
I recommend Winegard HD7084P antenna with a Winegard AP8700 preamp and a Rotor. . Install All New RG-6 coax cable , do not reuse any of the cable or twin lead. The channels to receive are , 18 , 27 , 44 , 12 , 6. I do not know when the Tv stations at your area will be changing to digital. The folks at digitalhome will help you. Here are business in Canada that sells antennas and etc.. http://www.saveandreplay.com , http://www.trentondistributors.com , http://www.friends.ca . Here something , free satellite tv , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=265

Ugh!It's getting more complicated all the time!lol
@Dave Loudin: Tnx.I'm already a member there,so I'll check them out also. DT is not happening around here in Ontario,Canada yet. @Groundurmast: "Multipath",even in the country? @John: What do you like about Winegard? I just checked and see the CM7777 has a higher gain. As for antennas: Why not the HD Stacker?Only 73" long! 1/2 the length of a cm3020! |
The HD Stacker is a HIGH VHF-UHF antenna. {channele 7-51}
You need an ALL CHANNEL ANTENNA {channels 2-51} |

It is v/uhf/fm -according to the website: http://www.dennysantennaservice.com/ |
TV Antennas and Reception
The Winegard Tv antennas have Heavy Duty construction so as to last longer outside. . Yes you can use a ChannelMaster CM3679 antenna and a CM7778 preamp. . I am doing my best to make it Uncomplicated. . YES Canada is changing to Digital NOW and Tv stations in Canada are transmitting Digital NOW. . However not at you location yet. . I have done my best to get you Tv reception now and get you ready for Digital. . However you are you , do what ever you think is best.

The HD Stacker ant is VHF/FM and UHF. It is a VHF and UHF antenna 'stacked' on top of each other. See Denny's Antenna Service website for more info |
TV Antennas and Reception
Yes we all know about the hd stacker and have for a long time. Here is the main point in your situation , the hd stacker has no long reception elements for the reception of VHF Low Band Channels of 2 thru 6. . I never recommend the hd stacker because the VHF High Band channels 7 thru 13 antenna stacked on top of the UHF antenna blocks and limits UHF reception. A length of two conductor wire (a phasing loop) the loop is long because it is a phasing loop , not simply connecting wires that connect the two antennas together , the loop is held in place by plastic supports , the plastic supports will break , the wire will break , Denny's antenna service has CAREFULLY Worded Statements about the hd stacker. I know the truth about the hd stacker and so do others , I never recommend it.

Coco who is a advocate of the hd stacker is telling you the straight out truth , the hd stacker is for VHF High Band and UHF , not for VHF Low Band

I can't comment on the HD Stacker, except to say,I've seen a lot of good reports on Denney's site and around the 'net.' The only thing I do know for sure,is he doesn't reply to Canadians,so why should I buy one? |
Here's a trivia question:
I've noticed on some houses in rural areas around here,a rectangular white plastic hdtv ant. Any ideas what it is? |
To answer my own question: I spotted it in an electronics flyer -I think it's a Wireless Internet Antenna!
|
Denny's never answered any of my questions either. I live in Arizona. But his site does have lots of interesting information.
|
Indeed it does.Denney has an excellent website!
