Help with multiple Antennas
 

Background. I have a cabin up north and refuse to have another cable bill.

I have a mast above the peak which is about 10' or so higher than the peak. my road runs down hill slightly to my cabin. There are a lot of big oak trees.

I have 2 VHF directional antennas on the mast a certain distance apart (2-4 feet if I had to guess). The large of the two are pointing at channel 9. The smaller of the 2 at channel 13. I get both of these fine with my digital convertor box. I sometimes get a decent signal on 32.

I want to get Channel 50 for sure, and possibly a good signal for 32 and 21, and some other UHF signals if possible. I was thinking of adding a large multidirection UHF antenna to my mast. Would having 2 VHF and 1 UHF on the same mast and transformer be a problem? What would you recommend for getting some more decent channels?

Do you want a rotor?

If yes, get a HD7694P. Add a HDP-269 preamp if you find any of the stations unreliable.

If no, get cheap 7-69 antenna such as the EZ-HD, RCA ANT751, HBU-22. Aim it at 41 degrees, halfway between WPBN and WGQX. Aim one of your existing antennas at WZZM. Add them together using a channel 13 Jointenna from Amazon.com. (PBS may not work) Add the HDP-269 preamp if any of the top 4 stations are unreliable.

How are the new rotors with remote? Are they hard to dial in because you have to do channel scan to find new channels with the digital TV convertor box?

Looks like the second way would be less money and no messing with rotating.

Winegard RS2000 would probably work well for you.
