I know how to view DTV reception maps for a particular broadcaster.

But can someone provide a link for the projected DTV reception maps for a broadcaster after repacks? There are a couple of stations I want to look at (post repack) and wondering how I can view that information?

The reception coverage maps (before and after) repacks appear to be about the same on these stations. Still I suppose with higher power, we may see better results. Thanks for sending.

The intent during Repack channel changes is to maintain at least the same coverage area. WJZY is adding some vertical polarization power for mobile coverage.

Here in SOCAL LA/OC Repack channel changes have increased signal strength and viewing quality, at least at my locale.

PBS SoCal, KLCS, and METV(now in improved HD720p), are all above 30db SNR on my Samsung signal meter. Previously these channels were around mid to upper 20s. All this was verified at rabbitears.info on the Longley-Rice coverage maps.

April 12 is going to be another big day in phase 2 of Repack here. About a half a dozen channels will change stations, so hopeful at least a couple of my favorites will carry forward increased signal strength and quality. Fingers crossed.....

And it's low band vhf and the fcc suggests use a combination ANTENNA that has
Hi&low band vhf/uhf like the Winegrud 8200U,or channel master tv antennas.

As crowded as the airwaves must be in your locale in the SOCAL LA area, that sounds really good with the repacks reaching at or above 30db SNR on your signal meter....especially with some channels only being in the mid 20s before. I hope phase 2 goes well for you.

I did go back and run the coverage maps for my location on rabbitears.info. This time I viewed the maps in the Longley-Rice format. The Longley-Rice view provides a better perspective, allowing viewers to zoom in on a given area. Given what I've seen on these colorful maps, fingers crossed here as well for increased signal strength.

Thankfully, no VHF in my area, with the exception of WTVI (PBS) in Charlotte. I've never been able to receive that particular station anyways so not a big deal.

There is at this time one station moving to low VHF here: KBEH-TV is moving from real channel 42 to 4. Their sub channel 63-3 features Retro TV. Some Old School shows I like to watch. My antenna system is ready for low VHF, so hopefully continued excellent signal strength above 30db.

It will be interesting to see how many other TV stations end up on the low VHF range, since it is wide open in that frequency range in our area. So far, I haven't seen any other movement on rabbitears. But who knows? Back to the future???

Well, I haven't been to Vegas in about 15 years. But I'll place that bet with you from afar for improved viewing after repacks. And hopefully, you won't see any more SOCAL LA channels moving over to VHF (at least low VHF).
