You have many signals available to you. The challenge is that the transmitters are very close which results in too much signal strength. Use of 20 to 50 dB of attenuation may be needed.

You need to resist the temptation to use any sort of amplifier... external or built in to the antenna. Simply unplugging power from an amplifier is not enough, the amplifier must not be in the system at all. A Terk HDTVi (not the HDTVa) would be an option. You could also opt for an RCA ANT-751 possibly in the attic or outside... In any case you may need to add attenuation between the antenna and TV.

Most of the Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels at your location are less then 3 miles away and are - Over the Top Strong Signal Strength - at your location.

The Tv transmissions are so over the top strong that the first 12 of the tvfool channel list are high lighted Red.

DO NOT use any type or kind of amplified antenna or preamp or distribution amplifier , non , zip , zero and zilch.

The amplifier Will Over Load and be the cause bad or no reception of some channels.

Install a Antennas Direct Clear Stream 2 Complete VHF/UHF antenna aimed at about 150 degree magnetic compass direction.
Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing.html.

Remove the Reflector Screen from the CS2V Complete and the CS2V Complete will receive Broadcast Tv stations/channels at front and back of the antenna , the Digital Broadcast Tv stations are to the , north , south west , south , south east.

Here is a variable attenuator to reduce the over the top signal strength , if required , #1296F.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter. No amplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter. No amplifier.

For 3 Tv's connected use a common simple 3 way splitter. No amplifier.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of Reducing or Blocking Digital Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install the CS2V Complete antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions including your own house.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , if using the eave antenna mount then use the #4560. , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Broadcast Tv transmissions travel through the air to the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Try a simple loop and rabbit ears antenna. Order a 20 dB attenuator, while you're at it.

Severe and powerful multi-path will be your greatest concern. The attenuator will help cool things off.

Yes, too much signal can cause trouble with reliable reception. Outdoor mounting is best in just about every case.

Godai 28-Dec-2012 6:05 AM

well i did a experiment i put my terk hdtvi on the roof
i put to south and south east i get same channels but solid
i put to north i get new channels maybe 10 but i lost other 10

looking this, i will need another antenna , for get both channels?
