Antenna advice - which antenna for attic?

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for an antenna to install in my attic. TVfool.com report here: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...d2434116cdf89d

My required channels are: local channel 12 KEYC, and then all the channels at the tower about 28 miles away and 256 degrees.

The other channels that would be awesome to grab but not required are from a tower near REDWOOD FALLS, MN about 51 miles away and 297 degrees. 25‑1 (25) K25II-D FOX SPORTS; and 39‑1 (39) K39CH-D CNN. (These aren't on the TVfool.com report but are shown on rabbitears.info. Although the signal path for these stations is 2 Edge if that matters.)

I would much prefer to install the antenna in the attic of my 2-story house which would be around 30 feet off the ground. Only 3 TV tuners connected (1 TiVo Roamio box with 4 tuners, and 2 other TVs)

Thanks for the advice,
Scott

If you attic is not a poor reception location (as many are), you will still be starting at t distinct disadvantage. All attics will reduce signal strength to one degree or another. The only way to know if there is acceptable signal strength and quality in your attic is to try...

I'd suggest an Antennas Direct DB8E facing the main group of signals.

To go after the signal from KEYC, I'd use an Antennacraft Y10713 (if it will fit in the space you have... It's 10 feet long).

An RCA TVPRAMP1R preamplifier has separate inputs for the two antennas (DB8E connects to the UHF input and the Y10713 to the VHF input).

If you can consider outdoor mounting, smaller antennas may provide reliable results.
