vhf issues
Hi guys I have a denny stacker antenna with a chanel master cm-7777 amp. the stacker has the UHF section on top and the VHF section on the bottom. My problem is the i have a station that is very close to me on the VHF section the amp is to much signal i tryed turning the VHF antenna away from the station but the signal is still to strong. is it possible to use the amp for the UHF section only and the VHF will bypass the amp and use a splitter to tie them back together. I need the amp to get some stations that 40 plus miles away on the UHF antenna. Here is my tv fool report. Thanks for any help, Carl

That will not work. You have a VHF-High channel AND a UHF channel that can overload the 7777.
You need a preamp that is resistant to overload, or no preamp. |
You're using the wrong amplifier.
The over-powered CM7777 strikes again! The box and ALL of CM's instructions explicitly state that the 7777 is strictly for deep fringe operation. It pays to heed those instructions. |
Is there a amp that could work ok for me? Without a amp I'm not getting much on the uhf antenna. Thanks
