CIII-DT-6 application for channel 14
It may not yet appear in the IC database, but Shaw Media has applied to the CRTC to switch the Ottawa transmitter from channel 6 to channel 14.
You can view the complete Engineering Brief in the CRTC zip file at https://services.crtc.gc.ca/pub/DocW...ppNo=201204651. (The file you want is "DM#1707219 - 2012-0465-1 - APP - Doc 2 - Appendix 2 - Engineering Brief.pdf" ) It should provide the EHAAT, power, and Antenna pattern info you need to feed to your L-R analysis. It would be great if you could manage to get this done some time before the end of the comment period, which ends May 23. CBOFT-DT's application to move from channel 9 at the top of the tower to channel 33 just slightly below has already been approved by the CRTC. However, if you cannot find the info in the IC database, the CRTC app does not include sufficient information for you. (Only the maps are provided, but not the complete Engineering Brief.) Here's the CIII-DT info from the Engineering Brief: SUMMARY SHEET APPLICANT: Shaw Television Limited Partnership 121 Bloor St. E., Suite 1500 Toronto, ON M4W 3M5 STATION LOCATION: Ottawa, ON STATION: CIII-DT-6 ANTENNA CO-ORDINATES (NAD83): Latitude 45° 30' 11" N Longitude 75° 51' 01" W TRANSMITTER POWER: 6.5 kW operating at 5.77 kW SYSTEM EFFICIENCY: 54.3% ANTENNA POLARIZATION: elliptical (70 H/ 30 V) ANTENNA POWER GAIN: At 1.5° Below Horizontal: 46.3 (H) / 20.7 (V) times, maximum 15.7 (H) / 6.77 (V) times, average EFFECTIVE RADIATED POWER: At 1.5° Below Horizontal: 145 kW (H) / 64.9 kW (V) maximum 49.2 kW (H) / 21.2 kW (V) average EHAAT: 390.5 m Overall Height of Structure Above Ground Level: 219.2 m Radiating Centre Above Mean Sea Level: 529.1 m Ground Level Above Mean Sea Level: 350.5 m CHANNEL NUMBER: 14R FREQUENCY: 470 MHz to 476 MHz TRANSPORT STREAM IDENTIFIER (TSID): 432B The horizontal and vertical antenna pattern data are tabulated in Appendices B and C. |
