Newbie looking for advice on selecting an antenna

Hi, wife and I just cancelled cable after hooking up some indoor antennas. With the indoor antennas were getting about 15 channels but I am thinking this won't last once the leaves come in. TVfool report is below and were looking for advice on an outdoor antenna. I should be able to get 25 feet or there about on the roof with a 5 food pole. Let us know what you recommend.

Thanks,

Tom and Pat

Your location lends itself to several options. I'd try an Antennas Direct CS5 facing WTNH (real CH-10) at 140° magnetic. The CS5 was designed to cover real channels 7 through 13 but proved to have some useful UHF capability. It turns out that it can do fairly well with UHF signals that come from the side, which fits your situation.

If needed, a UHF only antenna could be added, but I think you'll get good results if the antenna is not forced to aim through as obstructions such as trees or structures.

I'm concerned about the trees around the house. Short of cutting them down or putting up a 50ft mast is there anything to be done?
