In the woods, suggestions please. Your the experts.
 

My home is right in the woods. I can get my antenna at least 20' off the ground. Can someone please look at my report and suggest an antenna and if I should invest in an amplifier and/or a rotor. Also, is it worth going for those couple 50+ mile stations.

Well, you will need a VHF-hi/UHF combo antenna...no need to include a VHF-lo option, as WPVI chan 6 is way down the list...
Also, such as my case, you have strong stations in 3 different directions, so, if it was me, a rotor would be in the plans, and to pull some of the distant stations and to help up the signal to 2 TV's, a pre-amp would be a good idea....IMO....
My stations are 32, 35, 53, 51 and 91 miles out, and although, if the guru's get a hold of this post, they may differ with my advise, but, I will give you what I use, with an average 70% signal strength or better (in some cases, much better) across the board...

This antenna is an LPDA (logirithmic periodic dipole array)
It has incredible gain for it's compact size....
The channel assigments on this webpage are incorrect for this VHF-hi/UHF antenna, the frequency ranges are correct...this antenna is quite light which may help if you plan on a 20 foot high mounting...

AntennaCraft 10G212 30 dB High Gain Pre Amplifier (google it)
(you can adjust this amp from 10db to 30db gain from inside the house)

Centronics AR-500-XL Programmable Antenna Rotator (google it, too)
(this has a digital readout for direction in degrees, it could've had a 3 digit readout instead of 2, but I like it)

I have 2 of the ANT-2075 phased (you'll have to research what phasing is and does if you don't know) and I also use a modified channels 2-6 antenna to pull in WRGB channel 6 (that monster right above the rotor).

The Winegard HD9022 Prostar 1000 UHF Antenna below the rotor is not connected, it's used for testing pirposes...
So, that's what I have....maybe it'll give you some ideas...have fun! :D
