Because the Tv transmissions are Very Strong at your location I recommend use a coax ground block connected to a good ground like the electric service ground wire. This will help keep signals from going through the shield of the coax to the center wire that carries the signal.

Thanks, didnt know about terminating the ends of unused ports. and, the need to "ground" the attna.

Here is web site that is packed with basic and useful information , start with putting connectors on coax , http://www.swhowto.com/CoaxStrip.htm. It says use a 'Small' channel lock pliers to push and twist/turn the connector on to the coax. To tricky for me , I have been putting on connectors for many years , I hold the connector between my thumb and fingers and push and turn/twist the connector on to the coax cable.
