With the digital system, as long as the minimum ratio is maintained, reception won't be any difference between a "good enough" number and a very high value (30-35 dB SNR).  The problem is that, if it drops just too low, it falls off the "digital cliff".

 Understood! That is helpful. After my initial scan, I only have one channel that has failed to come in all the time. I hope that NBC (41.1) will continue to stay on the right side of the digital signal "cliff edge". :)
