Wentzville, MO Best attic or inside antenna

Hey gang!
Just moved to the great state of Missouri and need some help getting the ole boob tube up and running. I want to be able to get the local news, ABC, CBS, NBC. Anything above that is gravy and welcomed. I would do either a attic mount or anything box wise that goes near the TV. I want the best for the money and not really working on a budget. I am in the Wentzville, MO area and not too familiar with anything here so I need some guidance to get me pointed in the right direction so to speak. Chances are not that great that an indoor antenna will do the job in Wentzville. One of our guys lives up there and uses a C2 indoors, but he's in a favorable location near a hilltop with a good view to the southeast.

We usually recommend either a 4-bay or an 8-bay UHF antenna for Wentzville, often with a pre-amp, and usually on the rooftop where it can get a good "view" back towards the southeast. That usually does the trick!

Above the Peak of the Roof in such a manner that the roof and building are not impeding and blocking reception in the direction of , South East.

Install a Channel Master CM4228HD antenna aimed at about 130 degree magnetic compass direction.

A Winegard DS3000 , J pole type antenna mount works well with the CM4228HD antenna.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative effect ,

Multi-path/reflections.

Absorbing the Tv signals.

Blocking the Tv signals.

and so do buildings including your own roof and house and other obstructions.

The Best Practice is to install the CM4228HD antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception includung your own roof and house.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
