Thanks for the link to your old thread. After reading about your situation and your experience the installer I have a better understanding of your problem. I was too hasty with my words; you were correct in asking ADTech about your preamp while he was here.

The inserter contains a capacitor that lets the signals through to the TV with or without power, but blocks the DC power needed by the preamp.



Depending upon which channels are missing, if you get 20 channels unpowered and 9 powered, that might be a symptom of overload from your strong local channels.
